Dynamica's New Parents Group! - Posted: 30-08-2010
Dynamica continue to increase their musical talents as well as our numbers, with our junior band now looking to join the senior band -it is time to look at future horizons!
To enable us to expand, grow and follow through on some of the more exciting ideas we need to raise some funds. We have formed a parents group who will take the lead in arranging fundraising for us.
To kick start this new initiative they are organising a sponsered silence for Sept 20th! A letter is in the post to all members with the details.

Dynamica will be visiting the Broomlee Centre in West Linton on the weekend of 11th/12th September for their residential teaching weekend.
All Dynamica members are invited and we ask that to secure your place your payment is made promptly to Brian Lambert.

Sell out audience applauds summer concert... - Posted: 17-08-2010
Congratulations go to all our youngsters who put on a fantastic performance last night at our Summer Concert for 2010 in the East Kilbride Arts Centre theatre. With every ticket sold before the concert began it was always going to be a very exciting night for the members, and judging from the comments and feedback afterwards, it was a very enjoyable night for the audience too. Well done on a great year and enjoy your summer - see you all in August.

Yesterday saw the current Junior Band join with the Senior Band, playing for the first time as a whole ensemble as we begin the final countdown to the summer concert. Well done to all our youngsters for a terrific practice on a very hot Sunday afternoon - the sound was amazing and will be a real treat for everyone attending the concert. And topped off by another amazing night at the Royal Marines Band concert in Glasgow's City Halls...lots of amazing performances, one of the drummers talking to our youngsters, and a Marine playing tuba in a tutu....no, they're not making that story up!
Christian Aid event applauds Dynamica... - Posted: 31-05-2010
Last night was Dynamica's first public performance concert performance as part of a local youth event to celebrate the launch of Christian Aid 2010. With the exception of some of our parents who came along for the event, the vast majority of those who attended had never seen or heard of Dynamica previously, and the reaction afterwards was very positive. Well done to our Senior band for their performance, and also to all the other performers on the night.

Tickets for Dynamica's 2010 Summer Concert are now on sale. Tickets have to be bought from the box office at the East Kilbride Arts Centre, either by dropping in to the main office on Old Coach Road or by calling 01355 276666.
Junior band promotions - Posted: 08-03-2010
Well done to Katie and Ross who became our first Junior Band members to move up to the Senior Band. They also attended the Carronval teaching weekend where their progress was even more impressive as they learnt the Trumpet 3 parts for this summer's concert pieces. We look forward to more of the Junior Band moving into the Senior Band in August 2010.

Dynamica has announced details to our Senior Band members for their February trip to Carronvale House where we will have our first resdiential teaching and rehearsal event. As well as being a fantastic learning event, its sure to be loads of fun too.
Christmas Concert - Posted: 11-01-2010
Dynamica's 2009 Christmas Concert was voted an overwhelming success with hardly a seat to be had in the house! With more than thirty playing members, and audience that was close to 100 we had a fantastic night, everyone was commenting on how much progress the youngsters have made since last year's Christmas Concert. On this basis you'll need to be in quick to guarantee your tickets for the Arts Centre in the Summer - remember there's only 96 seats to be had there!
Dynamica opens beginner's class - Posted: 21-10-2009
Dynamica has now launched a Junior Band for young people who have no previous experience of playing or reading music. The group meets between 5.30 pm and 6.45 pm each Monday night in Canberra Primary School. If you would like to find out more, or want to join, please contact us.

Dynamica restarts for the 2009 - 2010 session on Monday August 17th in Canberra Primary School.
New members should attend the Beginners Class from 5.30 until 6.45pm.
Existing members return from 7pm until 9pm.

Dynamica goes back to school.... - Posted: 02-06-2009
The staff from Dynamica will be attending Schools Fairs at three of East Kilbride's primary schools this week to help promote Dynamica and open our work to new members. We will be at Heathery Knowe on Friday night, along with East Milton and Mossneuk on Saturday, so if you are interested in finding out more about us and our work please come and say hello.

Dynamica at Heathery Knowe - Posted: 09-12-2008
Dynamica staff visited Heathery Knowe Primary School in East Kilbride this week and gave a short talk to the youngsters in Primary 5, 6 and 7 introducing the band, the range of instruments we use, and showing a short video about our practices. At the end of the session we left fliers for all the young people to take home. Our thanks to all the staff at Heathery Knowe for their interest and support, and we look forward to welcoming some of the pupils, and their parents, to our Open Night on January 12th at 7.30 p.m. in Canberra Primary School.
Dynamica at Mossneuk Primary - Posted: 02-12-2008
If you are going along to visit the Mossneuk Primary School Christmas Fayre on Saturday 6th Decemeber from 10am until noon, look out for Dynamica. We'll be there to show some of the equipment and instruments we have available and talk to young people and parents about joining Dynamica in January.
