February Residential Weekend
We are pleased to annouce our first residential weekend of 2012 will be held at Carronvale House on 4th and 5th February.
Meeting at Righead 8:30AM on Saturday and returning by 6PM to Righead on the Sunday. The cost per person is £50 payable by Monday 16th January 2012. - Posted: 03-01-2012Welcome Back!

Please remember that we have our bagpacking day at Morrisons in Lindsayfield, East Kilbride this Saturday, April 2nd. This is a chance for the parents fundraising group to generate some funds which will go towards subsidising the costs of the activies we run. Please be at the store in time for your shift and look out for the Dynamica staff at the tills to find out where you will be stationed. Breaks and locations will be managed by our parent helpers, the staff will deal with the other arrangements including receiving and releasing the members as they arrive and finish their shifts.

Well done to all our youngsters for the terrific performance we delivered at the Hamilton Town House concert on Thursday night. Hopefully the audience all enjoyed range of pieces as we went from Sweden to Scotland through the Caribbean. And thanks to all of our staff and helpers for their efforts in pulling it together.

Venue : Hamilton Town House Auditorium, 102 Cadzow Street, Hamilton ML3 6HH. All members to arrive 6.45 pm through the front entrance, and proceed to our designated dressing rooms backstage. UNIFORM TO BE WORN - T-Shirt, Black Trousers/Skirt (no denims), Black Shoes.
Audience should enter using the main auditorium entrance which is on Lower Auchingramont Road. The show starts at 7.30 pm and is anticipated to be finished by 9.30pm approximately. Dynamica will be on stage throughout the first half of the concert, and will re-appear as part of the finale. Please note we have been informed photography is not allowed in the auditorium.

Please arrange to drop your youngster(s) at the venue at 6.55pm. Drive into the car park on Lower Auchingramont Road and through the barrier entry to the venue's restricted parking area for drop off.
Also use the same car park for collection at 8.15pm. We are advised that you must collect your youngster(s) from the entrance on Lower Auchingramont Road - one of our staff will come out to the reception area when the youngsters are finished and we will not release them from the Town House until we know a parent is there to collect them. Please let us know if you are car sharing.
Casual dress is acceptable that evening.

Another weekend of fabulous teaching and learning at West Linton near Edinburgh saw us starting to get to grips with a new batch of music for the new session, and with a healthy dollop of fun thrown in for all those attending. Dynamica continue to increase their musical talents as well as our numbers, with our junior band now looking to join the senior band -it is time to look at future horizons! To enable us to expand, grow and follow through on some of the more exciting ideas we need to raise some funds. We have formed a parents group who will take the lead in arranging fundraising for us. To kick start this new initiative they are organising a sponsered silence for Sept 20th! A letter is in the post to all members with the details. Yesterday saw the current Junior Band join with the Senior Band, playing for the first time as a whole ensemble as we begin the final countdown to the summer concert. Well done to all our youngsters for a terrific practice on a very hot Sunday afternoon - the sound was amazing and will be a real treat for everyone attending the concert. Last night was Dynamica's first public performance concert performance as part of a local youth event to celebrate the launch of Christian Aid 2010. With the exception of some of our parents who came along for the event, the vast majority of those who attended had never seen or heard of Dynamica previously, and the reaction afterwards was very positive. Well done to Katie and Ross who became our first Junior Band members to move up to the Senior Band. They also attended the Carronval teaching weekend where their progress was even more impressive as they learnt the Trumpet 3 parts for this summer's concert pieces. Dynamica's 2009 Christmas Concert was voted an overwhelming success with hardly a seat to be had in the house! With more than thirty playing members, and audience that was close to 100 we had a fantastic night, everyone was commenting on how much progress the youngsters have made since last year's Christmas Concert. The group meets between 5.30 pm and 6.45 pm each Monday night in Canberra Primary School. The staff from Dynamica will be attending Schools Fairs at three of East Kilbride's primary schools this week to help promote Dynamica and open our work to new members. Dynamica staff visited Heathery Knowe Primary School in East Kilbride this week and gave a short talk to the youngsters in Primary 5, 6 and 7 introducing the band, the range of instruments we use, and showing a short video about our practices. At the end of the session we left fliers for all the young people to take home.
